Performance Tune-Up Kits
Flame- Thrower tune-up kits give you everything you need to “wake up”
your stock Chevy, Olds, Pontiac or Buick HEI distributor. Kits include
performance module and coil combination, premium rotor and cap in red,
blue or black, custom Flame-Thrower coil cover, adjustable vacuum
advance canister, hi-performance advance kit, wire harness and
capacitor, and complete installation hardware.
High Performance Module
The Flame-Thrower module develops 67% more energy than an OEM module
and when teamed with the Flame-Thrower high performance coil operates
misfire free up to a minimum of 7500 RPM.
Race Only Module
Flame-Thrower "Race Only" modules are engineered to handle the extreme
conditions a racing environment puts on the ignition system.
50,000 Volt Coil
Flame-Thrower coils feature an optimized winding design to maximize
spark gap current and available voltage and when teamed with the
Flame-Thrower module deliver twice the energy across the spark gap
(during a one millisecond burn time) compared to the OEM HEI.
Race Only Coil
Flame-Thrower "Race Only" coil produces 42% more energy than the
street/strip version, and has a 46% faster spark breakdown time. This
coil must be used with the "Race Only" module, and is not suited for
street applications.
Adjustable Vacuum
Advance KitAllows optimum ignition advance for maximum part-throttle
performance.
Advance Spring and Weight Kit
Precision stamped weights and center plate eliminate erratic timing
three sets of springs and complete installation instructions make
recurving your HEI distributor easy.
Caps and Rotors
Caps and rotors are made from hi performance 60 KV rated alkyd molding
compound for superior protection from "arc-thru" and crossfire.
Attention to detail includes nylon rotor hold down screws. Available
in three colors. Red, Blue and Black.
Wiring Harness and Capacitor
Premium quality wire harness and capacitor insure good connections and
"static free" operation.
Coil cover
Replacement coil cover embossed with the Flame-Thrower logo will clean
up any HEI.
